This short book is excellent!! For anyone who really wants to know what happened in the Southern Baptist Convention as it relates to missionaries being fired this book is a good starting place. The Baptist Faith & Mission was revised causing some missionaries not being able in good conscience to do something they had never been asked to do before– signing off to a creed. Some will always argue that were not being asked to sign a creed, but IMO and others they were asked to sign a creed greatly changing the role of women and they would not sign off on this document and they lost their jobs. Some of these missionaries had been serving for numerous years but it did not matter. Sign yes and you can stay, not sign and you were out.
