I really liked the book and it kept me engaged enough to look forward to reading it at every opportunity.However, I found it a bit over the top. Having one mystery/murder to solve would have been enough, the understory of the second crime seemed out of place and gratuitous.I also found Abby’s character annoying and stupid. Regardless of the horror of seeing her husband killed, the screaming until she needed to be sedated, reacting hysterically whenever she was confronted by a new fact or suspicion, and not only taking matters into her own hands but doing it in such a stupid way, really turned me off. I would never react like she did, my first thought would have been to take care of my child. Any real mother puts her children first, before hysterics.What did she think would happen when she confronted someone she thought was the murderer to his face or took pictures in plain sight? Anyone with any common sense would have been much more discreet and a lot stealthier. Yelling out the
