I do not recommend this book beacuse I do not like the advice given, even after only the first few chapters. Plus, I was looking for advice on being pregnant with twins, which this book is very limited on. Hopefully when I get to the raising them part, it gets better, but I wish I would have spent my money elsewhere
What do you think of cloning?
Like stem cells, cloning is a rapidly advancing branch of biotechnology. Cloning is the creation of an organism genetically identical to the organism chosen to clone. Cloning can be done in many ways such as artificial embryo twinning . In this process an embryo is split just after fertilization much like identical twins. A more Twin Dolly complex method is called somatic cell nuclear transfer. In this process the genetic material of a cell is removed and a cell with DNA from the animal to be cloned is fused to it thus injecting its genetic material. Now the cell is implanted into a surrogate mother and is born identical to the first organism. In the future scientists believe that cloning can be used to recreate cells lost from certain diseases. This has been done before in the Scottish sheep Dolly. The clone of Dolly was perfectly healthy. So, what do you think?1) What is your opinion on the ethics on cloning?2) If you had the resources to clone yourself or a family member would you?3) Do you think there should be any laws regarding cloning?
