I just finished reading this book, was originally interested in its content due to the numerous deaths near to where I live (La Crosse, WI). I was very skeptical that numerous deaths could be attributed to a secret society of serial killers, and after reading I still believe that most likely the over-consumption of alcohol was the culprit. Numerous deaths are due to alcohol, such as drunk driving or aspiration of vomit, but for some reason drowning must be caused by serial killers “pushing” their victims into the water, or even more conspiracy crazy, first abducting their victims, drugging them, and slipping their bodies later into the water. What I really wanted to see was scientific evidence. If there were smiley faces found, why no pictures? And if the bodies that underwent autopsies were determined to be drowned, was it “dry” or “wet” drowning? How could it be plausible these men were abducted, killed, and dumped if the medical examiners found water in their lungs (wet drowning)?
